We believe giving back to the community benefits both HESS and the organizations we support. Our volunteer activities boost morale, strengthen our team and improve communications and relations among our associates, customers and stake holders.

A college education is essential for success in the 21st century. With 23 colleges on 40 campuses located throughout the state, Virginia’s Community Colleges are committed to serving Virginia families, helping them acquire the knowledge and skills to seize the opportunities of today and tomorrow. - Identity, Inc., Board of Directors
Identity provides programs for Latino youth to help them achieve a sense of confidence, connection, and control over their lives. Identity’s mission is to empower Latino youth to reach their full potential. - Junior Achievement of the Capital Area, Board of Directors
Junior Achievement of the Capital Area (JA) is dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. JA’s unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver curriculum while sharing their experiences with students. JA’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. - Greater Washington Board of Trade, Board of Directors
The Greater Washington Board of Trade addresses business concerns that span geographic boundaries. Pro-business and bipartisan, the Board of Trade convenes business, civic and government leaders to collaborate on important issues throughout the District of Columbia, Suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia. - Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE), Board of Advisors
As credible and trusted advisors to Montgomery County Public Schools, MCBRE’s mission is to connect student learning to the workplace and apply MCBRE’s business expertise to collaborate on system wide issues to ensure students graduate prepared for college and high-wage careers. - Montgomery County Chamber, Board of Directors
The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce works to help members succeed in business and to continue building a more vibrant, prosperous and connected community in Montgomery County. - Montgomery Chamber Foundation, Board of Directors
The Montgomery Chamber Foundation operates primarily to perform research and/or disseminate information and educate the general public in Montgomery County, Maryland and its surrounding regions in the areas of Economic Matters. - Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI), Virginia Chapter (VEFP), Board of Directors
The sole mission of CEFPI is to improve the places where children learn. CEFPI members, individuals, institutions and corporations are actively involved in planning, designing, building, equipping and maintaining of schools and colleges.
